Psychiatric Services
Ashburn Clinic is a private psychiatric hospital within New Zealand that provides outpatient assessment and treatment for people with mental health disorders.
We take a holistic approach to mental health care. Our dedicated team of psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and a clinical pharmacist, work collaboratively to provide personalised outpatient services designed to address emotional and psychological challenges.
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we aim to understand and resolve the underlying issues that contribute to distress, fostering lasting change and wellbeing.

Individual Psychiatry
A psychiatric assessment can help you to better understand yourself and what you recognise as your problems. Our psychiatrists do not just understand your problems from a medical perspective but also from a psychological and developmental perspective.
Our psychiatrists are ideally placed and qualified to help you consider the complex interplay between the multiple factors that lead to a sense of wellbeing – or loss of it. This includes examining your background, medical and social factors, alcohol and drugs, and medication.
Once we are clear about what the problems might be, we will help you formulate a plan for the way forward. This sometimes involves medications, or appropriate medical interventions. We also recommend appropriate talking therapies.
We offer a range of psychiatric and mental health services, including:
- Comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment.
- ADHD and ASD assessments.
- Psychotherapy for personal growth and emotional understanding.
- Mental health medication management.
Referral Process
We accept referrals for patients that wish to pay privately. You may also be eligible for funding through the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) or your health insurance provider.
Referrals should be made by a heath professional who is involved in your care/treatment. All referrals should be made on our Outpatient Referral Form.
Enquiries are welcome.
